Disruptive Frequencies Album

Disruptive Frequencies is one output of a research project headed by Sound artist and researcher Amit Dinesh Patel aka Dushume addressing the distinctive lack of visibility of Black and South Asian artists within the field of experimental music and sound:  “Exploring Cultural Diversity in Experimental Sound”, hosted at the Sound/Image Research Centre, University of Greenwich.

Dushume, together with five other Black and South Asian experimental artists recorded new music to release as part of this compilation.

Each contribution pushes the boundaries of sound manipulation, turntablism, field recording, audio fragmentations, sound collage techniques and triggerd new ideas, questions, debate, criticism and exchange within a globalised world.
